Trade Return Policy

Effective from 1 June 2026

1. Scope

This Policy forms part of the WheelsAPE Trade Terms & Conditions and applies to all approved Trade Accounts unless otherwise agreed in writing.

This Policy does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

All returns, exchanges and warranty claims must be approved in writing by WheelsAPE before any goods are returned.

2. Return Authorisation (RA/BFS)

A Return Authorisation (RA) must be obtained before returning any product.

Returns received without an approved RA number may be refused and returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.

Issuing an RA does not constitute acceptance of liability or approval of a refund, replacement or warranty claim.

3. Vehicle Fitment

All fitment advice provided by WheelsAPE is based on:

  • The vehicle manufacturer’s original specifications (OEM); and
  • The information supplied by the customer.

Customers are responsible for advising WheelsAPE of any vehicle modifications before placing an order, including but not limited to:

  • Brake upgrades
  • Suspension modifications
  • Wheel spacers or hub adapters
  • Wheel stud or wheel nut changes
  • Lift or lowering kits
  • Non-standard tyre sizes
  • Any other modification affecting product fitment

If a product cannot be fitted due to undisclosed vehicle modifications or incorrect vehicle information supplied by the customer, this is not considered a product fault or Company error.

Such claims will be treated as Customer Ordering Errors.

4. Non-Returnable Products

Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, the following products are not eligible for Change of Mind returns:

  • Installed or used products
  • Wheel & Tyre Packages
  • Custom or Forged products
  • Special Order products
  • Clearance or End-of-Line products
  • Products that are damaged, incomplete or not in resale-able condition

Special Order, Custom-made and Forged products cannot be cancelled after production or procurement has commenced.

5. Change of Mind Returns

A Change of Mind return may only be accepted where:

  • The request is made within 30 days from the Invoice Date.
  • An approved RA has been issued.
  • The product has not been installed or used.
  • The product is returned in its original, complete and resaleable condition.
  • Original packaging, labels and accessories are included.

Products should not be installed until they have been inspected and confirmed to be correct.

Installed products are not eligible for Change of Mind returns.

Within 15 Days from Invoice Date

Customer is responsible for:

  • Return freight;
  • Original outbound freight (where applicable); and
  • A 2.5% Payment / Bank Processing Fee.

No Warehouse Restocking Fee applies.

Between 16 and 30 Days from Invoice Date

Customer is responsible for:

  • Return freight;
  • Original outbound freight (where applicable);
  • A 2.5% Payment / Bank Processing Fee and ,
  • A 7.5% Warehouse Restocking Fee.

The Warehouse Restocking Fee covers inspection, handling, inventory verification, repackaging and administration costs.

More Than 30 Days

Change of Mind returns will not be accepted.

6. Customer Ordering Errors

Customer Ordering Errors include, but are not limited to:

  • Incorrect vehicle selected
  • Incorrect wheel size
  • Incorrect PCD
  • Incorrect offset
  • Incorrect colour
  • Incorrect quantity
  • Incorrect vehicle information supplied
  • Undisclosed vehicle modifications

Customer Ordering Errors are subject to the same conditions and charges as Change of Mind Returns.

7. Company Errors

Where the return results from:

  • Incorrect product supplied
  • Incorrect size, specification or colour supplied
  • Missing items
  • Confirmed manufacturing defect

WheelsAPE will arrange, where applicable:

  • Return freight;
  • Replacement freight; or
  • Another appropriate remedy.

No Payment Processing Fee or Restocking Fee will apply.

Following inspection, WheelsAPE may, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the product;
  • Replace the product; or
  • Issue a refund.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 5-10 business days after the inspection has been completed and will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Freight Damage & Delivery Inspection

Customers should inspect all deliveries immediately upon receipt.

Any freight damage, missing items or incorrect deliveries must be reported to WheelsAPE within 48 hours of delivery.

Failure to report within this period may affect the outcome of the claim.

9. Warranty Claims

Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Retail customers must submit warranty claims through the dealer from whom the product was originally purchased.

Warranty claims must include:

  • Original proof of purchase
  • Product photographs
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Vehicle details (where applicable)
  • Clear photograph of the product serial number (Laser SN)

Products with removed, altered or illegible serial numbers may not be eligible for warranty consideration.

10. Inspection

All returned products are subject to inspection by WheelsAPE.

Receipt of returned goods, arranging freight collection or inspecting products does not constitute acceptance of liability or approval of any refund, replacement or warranty claim.

Products must be returned in a clean, complete and resaleable condition.

WheelsAPE reserves the right to reduce or refuse any refund where returned products are:

  • Dirty
  • Damaged
  • Incomplete
  • Missing packaging
  • Missing accessories
  • Marked from installation
  • Marked from tyre fitting

The final outcome of every claim will be determined following inspection.

11. Warranty Exclusions

Unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law, warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Impact damage or accidents
  • Off-road competition or racing
  • Vehicle overloading
  • Incorrect installation
  • Incorrect tyre fitment
  • Incorrect wheel torque
  • Chemical or environmental corrosion
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage after installation
  • Vehicle modifications affecting fitment
  • Unauthorised product modification

12. Freight Responsibility

Where customers arrange their own return freight, all risk remains with the customer until the goods have been received and inspected by WheelsAPE.

WheelsAPE is not responsible for loss or damage occurring during customer-arranged transport.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WheelsAPE is not liable for:

  • Labour or installation costs;
  • Removal or refitting costs;
  • Vehicle downtime;
  • Towing expenses;
  • Loss of income or profit; or
  • Any indirect, incidental or consequential loss,

unless such liability cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Ownership

All goods remain the property of WheelsAPE until paid for in full.

15. General Conditions

  • All returns require prior written approval from WheelsAPE.
  • WheelsAPE reserves the right to refuse unauthorised returns.
  • WheelsAPE reserves the right to reject any claim that does not comply with this Policy.
  • If any provision of this Policy is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
